Brandt Wilson

Head of Hard Asset Investment Strategies

Brandt is a senior portfolio manager and the head of hard asset investment strategies for Cross Ocean. Prior to Cross Ocean, Brandt was a senior managing director and co-head of Castlelake’s aviation strategies, where he worked from 2010 to 2016. As portfolio manager he was accountable for the day-to-day operations of the firm’s aviation investments. From 2000 to 2009, Brandt was with Bank of America Merrill Lynch where he worked with Graham Goldsmith, Steve Zander and Nick Renwick. At BAML, he was most recently a managing director and co-head of North America Illiquid Credit Trading. While at BAML, Brandt launched a hard asset investment strategy focused on aviation and other asset rich industries. From 1998 to 2000, Brandt was an investment banking associate with Gordian Group, a bankruptcy consulting firm in New York. Earlier in his career, Brandt was a credit analyst at First Chicago and a certified public accountant with Deloitte & Touche. Brandt is also a member of Cross Ocean’s US Investment Committee.
